The Shoulder Center of Kentucky presents The 11th Annual Shoulder Symposium

The Shoulder Center of Kentucky 11th Annual Shoulder Symposium: The Scapula and the Overhead Athlete will be held at the Hyatt Regency Lexington in Lexington Kentucky on July 18 and 19, 2008. We are excited to welcome back Jed Kuhn, MD, Chief of Shoulder Surgery at Vanderbilt University and Mike Smith, MS, ATC, Houston Astros Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coordinator, and Tim Uhl, Assistant Professor in the Division of Athletic Training and Associate Member to the Graduate Faculty in the department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion, Research and Graduate Studies at the University of Kentucky. We are also pleased to welcome for the first time to our event, Champ Baker, MD, FACS who is currently the president of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and serves as the team physician for Columbus State University. Symposium Description
This symposium is designed for physical therapists, certified athletic trainers, physicians and other healthcare professionals interested in the evaluation and management of the shoulder and trunk and how they relate to the kinetic chain and functional rehabilitation. The most current concepts will be presented in various ways: didactic sessions, panel discussions, video presentations, case presentations, and hands-on workshops. These formats are designed to provide interaction between the registrants and the presenters.

Continuing Education Units have been applied for from the following organizations:

Certificates of attendance will be given to all participants and may be used for those who need continuing education verification and credit.

This program has been approved for fourteen (14) continuing medical education credits by the National Athletic Trainersí Association Board of Certification Lexington Clinic Sports Medicine Centerís Provider Number P2822.
