of surgical procedures. The Shoulder Center of
Kentucky strives to remain on the cutting edge of

current practices and procedures in the operating
room. Our research efforts in the operating room
set us apart from other facilities and assist us in
our goal of providing the highest quality care to
our patients.
Radiology
The Shoulder Center of Kentucky has the advantage of on-site x-ray facilities and access to the state-of-the-art MRI and CT services of Lexington Clinic. The Lexington Clinic MRI units are designed for patient comfort including an extra-wide opening, extra-short length and extra-quiet technology. These units lead to faster, high-quality images to aid in the appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan for the patient.
Quick access and same-day reporting make the diagnostic imaging process for patients of the Shoulder Center convenient, and efficient. Dr. Timothy Mahloch is a fellowship trained Musculoskeletal Radiologist with the Lexington Clinic who specializes in MRI and CT. Dr. Mahloch’s expertise combined with the Lexington Clinic orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists in the Shoulder Center of Kentucky, provides our patients with the highest quality of comprehensive specialized shoulder care available.
Physical Therapy
The Shoulder Center of Kentucky’s Physical Therapy follows a functional therapeutic exercise approach customized to meet the needs of each patient. We pride ourselves on providing efficient, quality care. Our certified athletic trainers support the physical therapists to provide integrated rehabilitation programs. Lexington Clinic Physical Therapy department is prepared to provide patients with the highest level of physical therapy service available.

Treatments:
When visiting the Shoulder Center of Kentucky, each patient is given a through clinical exam. This exam allows the physician to assess the function, strength, and control of the shoulder. Once the exam has been completed a treatment plan can be developed based on a full understanding of the patient’s individual shoulder pathology. The physicians and healthcare providers of the Shoulder Center combine evidence-based techniques with our own experience and research regarding evaluation of the shoulder. This allows us to provide a more complete and accurate diagnosis to our patients.
